What can you do?

  1. Join Us:  This Tuesday 6/18 for an Education Advocacy Phone Bank 5:30-7:00.

  2. Call your City Council member and at-larges (click here to find contact info for City Council) and tell them they need to fund our children's schools.

  3. Call your state legislators (click here to find your State Legislators) and tell them they need to find funds for our children's schools AND pass enabling legislation for City Council bills.
ASK them what they are doing personally to further this cause.

We are parents and guardians of students in Cook-Wissahickon Elementary School committed to working together to strengthen our school community and enrich our children's education.  Together with our school's teachers, staff, and other community partners, we play a large role in the success of our school.

Over the past few years, our HSA has:
  • Raised money to offset the costs of field trips, school supplies, events, awards, and uniforms
  • Paid for a new playground
  • Raised money to help hire staff
  • Coordinated events including book fairs, a holiday shop, teacher appreciation luncheons, and
    Fun and Fit Day
  • Won grants to move forward with the school's Green Plan
  • Established community partnerships with local universities for volunteer programs
  • Run parent-led after-school clubs
  • Coordinated parent volunteering in the classroom

None of this would have happened, however, without parents and guardians stepping forward.

We need you to join the Cook-Wissahickon HSA!
